REMINDERS SPRING 2022:

• MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We will open up our booking site for spring 2022 culture kit and book set requests on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH!
• Each educator can reserve a maximum of 6 culture kits this academic year.
• Book sets, DVD sets, and Learning Boxes from the UNC-Duke Area Studies Centers are also available to borrow through our joint booking site.
• Resources must be reserved at least 14 days in advance. 
• Kits can be reserved for periods of time between EXACTLY 14-28 days. (*Some book sets can be reserved for longer).
• We have gone back to shipping kits to your schools instead of your homes. If you think there is a chance your school may have a shutdown due to the pandemic, you can opt to have your kit sent to your home instead. (You can edit your address in Checkfront by clicking on PROFILE, and SAVED INFORMATION).
• The first date that you can receive a kit in the spring will be JANUARY 31ST, 2022 (scroll forward on the calendar to this date see AVAILABILITY).

Culture Kit Tips & FAQ

• Shipping both ways is on us, and FREE for you!
• LOG IN (grey button on top right) every time you make a request (and to create a FREE account) so that you can easily keep track of all your requests.
• There is an email verification step when you create an account, so you must check your email to verify, before you can log in the first time.
• Once logged in, go to “profile” to enter your “saved information” to avoid re-entering your delivery information every time you request a kit.
• Click on “AVAILABILITY” near the kit you would like, even if it says “UNAVAILABLE”, to scroll through the calendar to find available dates.
• Your kit should arrive the first day of your request, and you should drop your kit off at the nearest FedEx drop-off location 2-3 days before your kit is due to us.
• Kits are sent out according to the UNC student calendar, as UNC student interns send kits out, and check them in.
• Open up your kit box as soon as it arrives, to maximize the time you and your students have with the kit!
• We have over 200 different kits from 146 different countries or themes, and many book and DVD sets. 
• Please watch the video tutorial below if it is your first time requesting a kit, or if you have any problems with the booking process.

Kit Reservation Schedule 2021-2022

• Fall reservations available from 9/19/21-12/1/2021 (Kits will not be sent out during UNC final exams or Winter Break.)
• Spring reservations will available from 1/31/22-4/28/2022.
• Resources will not be sent out during UNC Spring Break from 3/12/22-3/20/22
• Resources will not be sent out during UNC Summer Break starting 4/29/22.
