Hi! My name is Lucy Burnhams, I am a class of 2020 UNC student. I am double majoring in Economics and Mathematics and minoring in Spanish for the Professions. In the spring of 2018, I studied abroad in Bilbao, Spain at the University of Deusto to study Spanish Business. Bilbao lies in the Basque Country in northern Spain. Before going to Bilbao, I knew absolutely nothing about Basque culture or this region of Spain at all. After living in Bilbao for 5 months, I gained a love and new appreciation for Basque culture and the beautiful region. In this culture kit for Spain, I contributed the items specifically to the Basque region of Spain. I hope you can gain some understanding of this region that many people are unaware of!
