Oscar is a junior at UNC Chapel Hill, from Greensboro, North Carolina. He is studying Environmental and Computer Sciences, and is interested in the global issues of energy security, sustainability, and food production. He spent seven months of the spring and summer of 2015 living in Bangkok, Thailand to take classes and do research on renewable energy at King Mongkut’s University of Technology – a Thai graduate school just outside of downtown Bangkok. While Oscar was in Asia he had the opportunity to travel extensively, explore new cultures, and learn just enough Thai to get through daily life.
