Sara Wilkins

Sara Wilkins is a student from UNC Chapel Hill who graduated in May 2010. After graduation, she spent a month traveling in the Middle East and spent most of her time in Egypt. In Egypt she visited and spent a lot of time in the Sinai Peninsula as well as in the capital of Egypt, Cairo. Sara and a local Egyptian friend who helped show a little bit of the culture of Egypt selected the items in this kit. There’s a big focus on the Arabic written language in this Culture Kit to show students how unique and beautiful their language is. Remember, it’s written and read from right to left, which is opposite from the way we read and write.
