This Kit belongs to the UNC African Studies Center. It will be mailed to you by Stacey Sewell, sewall@email.unc.edu. She will be your point of contact for this kit. The Kenya Culture Kit was designed in consultation with K-12 educators. In the kit are instructions for games, art projects, and recipes. Other educational items include posters, books, and a DVD entitled “A Toy is What you Make of It.” In addition, there are hands on items such as Kenyan school workbooks; boys and girls school uniforms; household items including coffee, tea, and a broom; homemade soccer balls; Kenyan money; and homemade toys including a jump rope and a doll.
