Maggie Walker

My name is Maggie Walker and I graduated from UNC in 2015. I was Biology major, but have been interested in Palestine for a number of years. During the summer of 2014 I spent a month in Ramallah, Palestine teaching SAT preparation to Palestinian high school students at the Ramallah Friends School. I was lucky enough to travel to many cities in the West Bank (which, along with the Gaza Strip, makes up the Palestinian territories) to meet lots of welcoming people, eat delicious food (like shawarma and musakhan!), and learn about the area. In the future, I hope that I can help more and more people visit the incredible, complex, beautiful place that is Palestine!
