Khanh Kguyen is currently a graduate student studying social work and global maternal and child health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent 15 weeks in Tanzania with FHI 360—an international health organization – working on a youth HIV prevention project called UJANA. Khanh was able to visit a lot of local nongovernmental organizations, government officials and community members to gather information about the project’s successes and challenges. Throughout the summer, she was also able to travel to remote areas of Tanzania and learn a little Swahili!
